The Frist Center for the Visual Arts presented Andrea Zittel and it was a great opportunity for us to take a field trip off the hill to see a super famous artist. She gave an intensely intellectual, yet humorous and accessible presentation discussing her relationship to art and time, and how her personal life becomes her work. Often simply described as a designer, she positions her work within the umbrella term of “New Genre” but her work tends to resonate with those interested in fiber and conceptual craft.
