Homage

Lauren Bryant’s BFA show, “Homage,” is now on exhibit here at the Appalachian Center for Craft. Her work is personal, beautiful, and intimate, and has completely transformed North Windows Gallery. Lauren is inspired by her subconscious and her dreams and that is exactly the feeling upon encountering her work- that you are experiencing a dream-life. She has applied her impeccable craftsmanship and amazing technical research to a variety of media within fibers: weaving (for sculpture, wall hangings, bedding) digital printing, quilting, installation, 3d construction/sewing, and even furniture design/ upholstery. Celebration, which opens the ACC studios to the public, will serve as her reception (all day on Saturday 4.10.10 from 10-5).
