2011 Grads in Fibers

The Fibers Dept had two senior shows this year– both were from very independent thinkers with very innovative and bold sensibilities with material. Kristy Sullins’s show was titled “Within” and displayed mostly synthetic fabrics with quilted, heat-shaped and mixed media surface treatments.  Natalie Johnson’s show was titled “inside|out” and displayed a series of handmade jackets, their inside linings embellished with printing and stitching.
